Mark Dunn

For nearly 20 years I've been playing pedal steel guitar and recording six string guitar for over 25 years. During this period I've had the opportunity to be involved in numerous studio sessions. In the mid 1990's I started using Cakewalk (now called Sonar) software for creating tracks; when the audio version arrived I started PC recording. In 1998 I used the first audio recording version of Cakewalk to record a complete album.

I'm interested in the way music works and stimulates the mind. I try to keep a balance between the understanding of music and practicing the execution of it.... a never-ending journey. Making every note count and using your hands to create tone is the way to make great music. I listen to music of all styles and try to apply ideas to both the E9th and C6th tunings. I particularly like creating parts for new songs but also enjoy playing and learning anything from the masters of steel.
